Virtual Mentorship Summit

The Coaching Association of Canada, the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association, U SPORTS, Mentor Canada, and the Black Canadian Coaches Association are partnering to bring to you the Virtual Mentorship Summit, for coaches who are interested in engaging in a mentorship relationship open to new mentors and mentees or those who may be interested in becoming mentors or mentees. Mentorship is a proven strategy in the recruitment, retention, development, and advancement of women in the workforce. This day will focus on understanding the role of the mentee and the mentor. There will be networking opportunities and great sessions to attend!
During the Virtual Mentorship Summit, you’ll participate in several sessions to learn about how mentorship can support your coach development. Our objectives are:
• Build capacity and coaching in sport through *women’s mentorship
• Creating connections between coaches, mentors, and partners
• Engage coaches in learning and developing a mentorship mindset
• Understanding the role of the mentee and mentor
• Providing Professional Development opportunities and NCCP points
*Open to all women (cis and trans women) as well as non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centers on the experiences of women.

Mentor Appreciation Day

The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC), the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), U SPORTS, Mentor Canada and the Black Canadian Coaches Association (BCCA) are partnering to offer a Mentor Appreciation Day that will be provide an opportunity for our current and recent mentors to connect, converse and be celebrated for their impact. There will be networking opportunities and great sessions to attend to recognize your contribution to developing our next generation of high-performance coaches in the sport system!
The overall objectives of the Mentor Appreciation Day are:
• Creating connections between mentors
• Providing Professional Development opportunities and NCCP points
• Engage coaches in learning and developing a mentorship mindset
• Recognizing and celebrating the mentors in our sport community
