Thunderwolves Announce Men’s Indoor Soccer Head Coach

Lakehead University Orillia Athletics is pleased to announce Mark Cristante as new head coach for the Men’s Varsity Indoor Soccer program.
Mark brings over 20 years of professional coaching and sports administration experience, having held several senior roles as a High Performance Coach, District & Club Technical Director, District Head Coach, & Learning Facilitator. Currently, holding the position as Technical Director at the Barrie Soccer Club, Mark has played a pivotal role in the development of many athletes and teams across Simcoe County.
During this time, he has successfully coached teams that have won District, Regional, Provincial Championships and league titles, and has also won a Canadian Club National Championship silver medal. Mark has achieved his UEFA B, Canadian National B, USSF National B, United Soccer Premier Diploma & Teacher Trainer of Adults (Honors). He is currently enrolled in the Canadian National A, UEFA A licensing courses, as well as finishing his Master Life Coaching Certification.
As a former high performance player, he captained the North York Astros Professional Reserve Team and still continues to play competitively. He is a proud father to 3 boys, recognized in the community as a dedicated leader, mentor, who also volunteers his time coaching his children & considers himself a lifelong learner.

Students who are interested in trying out for the Thunderwolves Varsity Men’s Indoor Soccer program are encouraged to fill out our Thunderwolves Recruitment form. Tryout dates are set to be released later this month.
