2020 CCAA Fall Championships cancelled

The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) announced today the cancellation of its four 2020 Fall National Championships.
The 2020 CCAA Golf, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer and Cross-Country Running National Championships will not be held this upcoming season due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The CCAA Task Force, with representation from all six CCAA member conferences, has made the difficult decision while considering the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches and administration.
Because CCAA Championships will not be offered for fall sports, these student-athletes will not consume a year of eligibility for the 2020-21 season.
“Our guiding principles throughout this process have been the safety of our student-athletes, the student-athlete experience as well as fiscal responsibility,” said Vince Amato, CCAA President. “We are unable to meet certain conditions that we set as a board, and unfortunately we had to make this difficult decision.”
A decision regarding CCAA Winter Championships will be made in the fall.
