Here are this week's USports Top 10. If you’re a fan of York United, Mauro Biello’s selection for the men’s national team coaching staff will feature two mighty familiar names. The interim head coach just named both Paul Stalteri and Carmine Isacco to his coaching staff, both of whom had assisted Jim Brennan during seperate spells at York United. Biello has also announced...

Courtesy of the Northern Tribune: https://northerntribune.ca/forge-fc-referee-criticism-2023/ Excerpts of the following story by John Jacques are courtesy of the Northern Tribune on October 3, 2023 https://northerntribune.ca/forge-fc-referee-criticism-2023/. Forge’s captain and coach put out some heavy complaints about the quality of officiating in Canada’s domestic top flight. The three-time CPL champions had travelled out east to face the Halifax Wanderers, dropping the result 2-1 amidst controversial penalty decisions. “It was a great game of football. There were two teams that had a great first half,” opened...

The U SPORTS No. 1-ranked UBC Thunderbirds (9-1-0) suffered their first loss of the season, a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Victoria Vikes (6-3-2), ending the T-Birds bid for a perfect campaign more than two-thirds of the way through the year. Things more or less have remained the same with UBC and Montreal flipping places, but the bottom three have changed with MAC, UQTR and UNB dropping out of the top 10 this week and Guelph with a pair of wins over Windsor this past weekend (pictured below), STFX and UVIC entering the...

Courtesy of the ccaa.ca: https://ccaa.ca/sports/msoc/rankings/index Here are this week's rankings and if you are confused, you're in good company. The pressing question: How does St. Lawrence (Kingston, ON) drop out of the top 15 when they smacked Centennial and then tied Seneca? Granted Seneca isn't last year's team and injuries have taken their toll this season, but dropping out of the top 15?
