USPORTS Women’s Top 10
So here we are on the cusp of the playoffs and the one question is: Who will be the “Great 8” that by the end of the weekend, will join the Laval Rouge et Or and book their trips to Quebec City. Only 8 can go, so someone will get their hearts broken.
This arguably is the best week of the year.
Let’s take a look.
In Women’s Soccer, the previously ranked Number 2 Ottawa Gee-Gees (9-1-2) closed out the OUA regular season with a 0-0 draw against RMC, dropping two positions to Number 4. The 0-0 tie may have something to do with previously playing halfway around the world to bring home a Gold medal, maybe.
The Queen’s Gaels (9-0-3) finished their regular season undefeated with a 7-0 win against the visiting Laurentian Voyageurs Sunday at Richardson Stadium, moving into Number 2. The UBC Thunderbirds (13-1-0) remain atop the rankings. Playoffs begin Wednesday in all four leagues.
